The Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education presented a program on May 18, 2017 on Child Support and Maintenance. The Illinois law is changing on July 1, 2017. Michelle attended this important seminar in Chicago.
“Powerful, Non-Defensive Communication for Collaborative Professionals” was the subject of a Collaborative Law Institute training program on April 28, 2017, which Michelle took part in.
Michelle attended the 23rd Annual Family Law Conference sponsored by the Lake County Bar Association from April 20-23, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The McHenry County Bar Association held a meeting on February 14, 2017, “Family Law Motion Practice Strategy & Tips,” which Michelle attended in Woodstock, Illinois.
On January 16, 2017, a court holiday recognizing the birthday of Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King, Jr., Michelle attended the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s presentation, “Business Valuation, Financial and Tax Issues in Divorce.”
As a member of the Illinois chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Michelle attended its annual conference on November 11, 2016. The program this year was entitled, “Interviewing Techniques for Children and Adults.”
Michelle took part in the 2016 Fall Mediation Seminar presented by the McHenry County Bar Association on October 7, 2016.
On September 23, 2016, Michelle completed three hours of Fellows Collaborative Skills Training by attending the seminar, “Debriefing a Case and Providing Feedback to Team Members,” sponsored by the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois.
The McHenry County Bar Association presented a seminar on Collaborative Divorce on July 26, 2016. Michelle received 3.50 hours of teaching credit for her participation on the panel.
The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee was the location of the Lake County Bar Association’s two-day 2016 Annual Family Law Conference, April 15 and 16, 2016.
